First Baptist Church
Provides assistance with clothing, food, rent, and bills. Services are available every 6 months; call (336) 722-0595 on the Thursday before the Tuesday you need help.

 

Centro para Residentes Nuevos de Carolina del Norte
Promotes access and integration for immigrants and refugees through community outreach initiatives, research, education, and leadership development. Affiliated with the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

 

AHEC (Area Health Education Center)
Offers programs to help communities and immigrants overcome cultural and language barriers through education in cultural competency, interpreting, translation, and Spanish.

 

SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration)
An agency within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services promoting behavioral health and improving the lives of those with mental and substance use disorders. Provides leadership and multilingual resources.

 

Legal Aid of North Carolina
Provides free legal services in civil matters to low-income people across the state.

 

Sunny Side Ministries
Offers food, clothing, financial assistance, and a food pantry. The program provides hope through service, education, and empowerment to those in need.

Provides free, confidential, 24/7 support for mental health, substance use disorders, and developmental disabilities.

Provides free support, equipment, and supplies for cancer patients and survivors, including baby monitors, bed pads, ostomy supplies, hospital beds, shower stools, walkers, and more.

 

Planned Parenthood Winston-Salem
Offers low-cost gynecological care, reproductive health services for men and women, both in-person and through telehealth.

Unidad de Asistencia a Víctimas del Departamento de Policía de Winston-Salem
The Victim Assistance Unit (VAU) assists victims and their families with issues resulting from domestic violence and other violent crimes. They offer counseling referrals, crime victim compensation, help with obtaining restraining orders, legal assistance, temporary shelter, and other domestic violence-related concerns.
